I have a draft in my blog right now on the same subject!

Another thing is yard/garage sales. Clothes and books for under a dollar, and you meet and support your neighbors, so it builds community, too. And it's fun to pay $1 for something you know retails for $30.

I have high hopes that the new popularity of going green will encourage reducing and reusing.
